We started planning for this trip a couple of years ago. Actually this trip was to be the third of a trio of trips we have been considering, the other two being Michigan and Nova Scotia. Michigan will be a shorter trip while Nova Scotia will longer than this adventure to The Badlands, Glacier National Park and Banff National Park in Canada. This excursion will be for 18 days and cover roughly 5k miles. The fun began in January (2017) as I began pouring over maps, brochures and of course the Internet.
Other than the venues we will be traveling to we have no definitive plans and have made no reservations. Hopefully the time.of year will be in our favor not traveling at peak times. Also it can be quite cool in mid September. The cool weather is our cup of tea.
